FEBRUARY  THANK YOU’S: We are grateful to Porters Community FarmBlack Acres Microfarm, and the farmers at the 441 Farmers’ Market for all the produce they have donated to GCW this month, and to Henderson and Daughter Plants and Produce for selling us citrus at a deep discount.  Thank you also to Strongtree Organic Coffee Roasters for donating coffee for our morning coffee shops, and to Citizen’s Co-op for the big discount they give us on bulk organic flour for our bread.  Finally, a huge thank you to Lauren Barlis and Angela Lynch for volunteering to be bread sponsors for us!

You have heard that it was said,
You shall love your neighbor and hate your enemy.
But I say to you, love your enemies
and pray for those who persecute you,
that you may be children of your heavenly Father,
for he makes his sun rise on the bad and the good,
and causes rain to fall on the just and the unjust.
For if you love those who love you, what recompense will you have?
Do not the tax collectors do the same?
And if you greet your brothers only,
what is unusual about that?
Do not the pagans do the same?
So be perfect, just as your heavenly Father is perfect.

I have known about the Catholic Worker House in Gainesville for many years. A few weeks ago, I picked up your schedule at the ministry fair at Saint Augustine’s, and decided it was time to come check out the programs. I am interested in the Art for All. Can I just show up or do I need to let someone know I am coming? Where is parking?

Thanks so much and have a great day!

    • Hi Kathy,

You’re very welcome to come on out for Art-for-All! You can just show up, but I’ll also shoot an email to the Art-for-All crew just so they know to keep an eye out for you. There is a city parking lot next to the Green House with metered spaces, but I believe it is locked on the weekend, so just look for street parking nearby. If you have any more questions, you can write to us at Thanks!
